Violinist Andrea Weber Steckly enjoys a
varied performance and teaching career.
She has a Bachelor of Music in Performance
degree from the University of Toronto and
a Master of Music in Performance degree
from the University of Western Ontario.
She also studied briefly in Cincinnati and Vienna.
As a performer, Andrea has played with the
Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra on
occasion, the K-W Musical Productions pit
orchestra, and a variety of freelance situations in
the local and surrounding communities.
Although she has a wide range of experiences
performing in the “classical” style, she is
also involved in diverse styles of church music
(notably, she was a member of the music worship
band for Mennonite World Conference in Paraguay
in 2009), sometimes rosins up her bow to fiddle
at square dances, and she also plays her 6-string
electric violin in several classic and celtic rock bands.
At present she resides in Kitchener, Ontario, with her
husband, where she has a private music studio.
